Hi folks, My parents have a decent system that includes a Linn Basik turntable and Linn Akito tonearm. It would seem the latter is potentially worth a decent amount of money. I can’t seem to find a way of identifying the version number of the arm as I can’t see any markings on the arm itself...

Err, just because a component shunts to ground doesn’t mean it’s not in the signal path! The disadvantage of this approach is the high output impedance from the network, this will likely interact with the cabling and power amp, another variable to consider.

That’s got me thinking, I wonder hwo different grades of paper sound!? And what color of paper sounds best?

Can you elaborate on how ‘science predicts this’!? Different dielectric impedances, crosstalk etc surely likely to have some effect?
