Looking for a low cost good quality very small amp (Class D?) ...

I've read excellent things about the Aiyima A07. Here, for example: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/aiyima-a07-tpa3255-review-amplifier.18984/

    Shahinian Arc Amplification

I've often wondered whether I was getting the best out of my mk 1 Arcs driving them with a Harman Kardon PA2200 and Exposure 2010s integrated. So I picked up an NAD 2700 power amp (restored by Quirk Audio), and it's been eye-opening. The quantity of excellent bass and overall definition are a...

    Totem - What? How?!

I bought a pair of Mites because I was curious about Totem and they looked nice. Stunningly good. I imagine the cost is a function of low volume and hand-assembly in North America.

Great customer service from manufacturers and importers

Both PS Audio and Benchmark have gone above and beyond the call for me. Benchmark in particular was great to deal with; they were very gracious when the DAC HDR1 I shipped back to them to test for a fault turned out not to be the source of the problem (bad headphones!), and even shipped my unit...

What's The Last Bit Of Audio Equipment You Have Bought?

I have an Exposure 2010S2 integrated on the way to replace my Luxman R-115, which I finally retired for fears that it might burst into flames.

LP Playback: Is It Really Reference-Quality?

Strikes me as uncontroversially and trivially true. More importantly, hyphenating "no one" is an abomination. :p

Teddy Pardo ST60 / Shahinian Arc?

I'd be buying the ST60 second hand. I guess I have to decide whether curiosity is sufficient reason to try it.

Teddy Pardo ST60 / Shahinian Arc?

Anyone driving Shahinian Arcs with a Teddy Pardo ST60? My old reliable amp is no longer reliable (Harman Kardon PA2200). I'm currently using a Crown Drivecore XLS2002. It's very good, but I'm curious about the ST60. (The monos are beyond my budget.) Would 60 wpc be sufficient for Arcs? Thanks...

Speaker stand recommendations for large bookshelf speakers

I love the look of the Hi-Fi Racks stands. I'd have them for my Snell Ks if I could get them in the US.

anyone have Snell J/III's in the room with them?

The Snell website's listed measurements for K, K/II, and J/II are accurate. I imagine the J/III measurements will be too![PHP.[/PHP]

Old Amplifiers/gear that still sound good

I went through a merry-go-rough of power amps a few years ago (ATI1502, Bryston 3B ST, and class D amps from PS Audio, W4S, Crown, and Class D Audio), but I kept coming back to a 20+ year old Harman Kardon PA2200. It cost $100, drives my Shahinian Arcs as well as anything I've tried, and has a...

    Just done my Achilles in.

Sounds like a rupture--which means there probably wasn't any contact. I ruptured my left Achilles playing tennis, and it felt like I'd been hit from behind with a racquet. I had surgery, but the crucial thing, whether you have it or not, is serious physical therapy. Mine is (nearly) good as...

    Drivers on Snell K Mk1

Ah, thanks. The big decision is whether to trust this assertion from the Audio Note guide: "... it is actually easier to change the surround with the driver in situ in the cabinet." I'm very tempted to try to do it this way. The drivers are very difficult to remove.

    Drivers on Snell K Mk1

Apologies to the OP, as this is off topic, but I have a pair of Ks in exactly the condition in the photo above. I've found several different recommendations about how best to replace the foam surrounds. Biglebowski, how did you go about it?
