Saw the thread and by coincidence I was listening to Shakti with John McLaughlin - Natural Elements.
Another excellent record I hadn’t played for many a year.
Zakir’s playing on this album is amazing.
Incredible energy.
Another album I love of his is on ECM, Making Music.
Brilliant album to unwind to.
I’ve also got Remember Shakti - Saturday Night in Bombay on cd and Song for Everyone by L. Shankar on ECM vinyl. All excellent.
