YPAO (Yamaha Parametric room Acoustic Optimizer)

Sounds like you might have the basic option in GEQ to go up/down in preset chunks but not get the nice curve/graphical display.

Would any 803D owners care to pass an opinion on it's headphone output, thanks.

I compared my 803D with my Chord Hugo TT (with a Yamaha WXC 50 as digital source) using Sennheiser HD800's which are not to everyone's taste but are universally accepted as extremely revealing! They revealed such minor differences that the Hugo got moved on. I now have an RME ADI-2 DAC which benefits from excellent parametric EQ which I find helps to get the best out of the various cans I've had and thus shows the limits of the 803D as a headphone amp. That said, I would say that unless you are seriously into headphone listening and have some extremely hungry cans the 803D will keep you happy. From my experience you will have to spend more than the cost of the 803D on a dedicated headphone amp to significantly improve on it.
