Your Loudspeaker history...

Whatever came with Fidelity record player
Whatever came with Akai "separates" catalogue system
Tannoy Eclipse
Arcam Delta 2 (had them for years before I found out how awful they were with the introduction of...)
Linn Kan 1 (my only "difference between night and day" experience in hifi)
Linn Kan 2
Mordaunt Short MS 20
Royd A7 mk2 (as good as the Kans but £200 cheaper on 2nd hand market)

Cheers

Rich

Does anyone old enough remember the Ferrograph S1 and S2? The S1 didn't get hugely well reviewed, but we had a special deal on the S2's and they were superb as I remember. BC1's took precedence for me, but the S2 (a medium sized "sort of" mini transmission line with B139 bass standing on a tripod stand with castors - oh the memories) sounded really good as I remember...

My list seems quite modest:

Homemade
Tangent XLR2
KEF 104/2 Ref
Mordaunt Short 10i - study system*
Tangent XLR2 (with modified x-over) - in loft*
TDL - passive sub - in loft*
Shahinian Obelisk - main system*
Canon S-35 - in case I want some rear speakers - in loft*

This has been most therapeutic - I thought I was bad until I looked throught the thread - thanks chaps :)

Goodmans RB35 (1977-1982)
Mordaunt-Short MS20s (1982-now: still in 'upstairs' system)
Castle Chesters (1994-2006)
Audiovector M3 Singnatures (2006-)

Looking at these long lists of speakers I must be either easily pleased, or a lot younger than some on this list.

85 - Some speakers pulled from a skip outside a renovated hotel (I kid you not)
89 - Celestion DL8 - bought as a student on a budget
93 - Epos ES11
06 - PMC OB1

That's my lot. The PMCs are on the main system, the ES11s on the second one.

Cesare

Some unmemorable Hitachi speakers with my first system
Heybrook HB2R
Naim SBL's (still going strong with a friends system)

Diamond IVs
Heybrook Point 5s
Epos E14s
PFM Specials (Ergo XIII(?)s in disguise)
Rega Kytes - second system on the end on a NAP160.

Over the years, and not necessarily in order, I have owned speakers by: Mission, B&W, Audio Note, ATC, Spendor, Harbeth, Cura, Tannoy, Jordan, and some others I've forgotten about. They were all very different.

There isn't enough time left in my life to list the ones that were only passing through.

Cheers
