And in the opinion of nearly everyone else although, as much as I love it, I actually prefer Jackie Brown
Agree. Jackie Brown is much better...
Pulp fiction, IMO is a cult film because those watching know no better and it appealed to those born in the 90s... Its too cartoon like...
Goodfellas, Casino, Gotti, King of New York, Donnie Brasco, OUATIA, The Godfather...
They're proper films IMO

I was born in 66' and still don't know no better/
Miller’s Crossing is fantastic. My favourite Coen Bros film. Casting and dialogue are perfect. No spoilers but the scene with Danny Boy playing is a masterpiece.Miller’s Crossing

It’s not very good, over hyped & over acted.I am surprised that 'Heat' has not been mentioned yet. Not a Mafia film but a heist movie with emotional depth and with De Niro and Pacino. Superb and one of the very best...

TBH IMO (and it's a genre I love) you just need The Godfather 1 and 2 (or even better the 5 part TV series that Coppola re-edited the films into chronological order for) and The Sopranos TV series.... with a side serving of Goodfellas if you really want. That's it basically, genre covered!
Not a mafia film, but Serpico fits in nicely with those, too. And if we are drifting into general organised crime, Carlito’s Way is a cracker. Not sure how she'd take that but good idea.... Dog Day Afternoon is in there too
