No histrionics needed today so there weren't any.
Just some nonsense about the shoulder in-between 140mph serves.
I used to like this bloke too...
 
Great performance by Simona Halep yesterday - absolutely took the number 4 seed Badosa apart in 1 hour flat with the loss of only 3 games.
Equaly impressive was the humble and sincere way in which she spoke during the on court post match interview.
Would love to see her win it again but she can be prone to the odd lapse in focus and concentration.
 
The ‘Greats’ often seem to play a dreadful opening set, maybe two, but still come out on top in the end. Do they need to be down to play at their best or is it the ignominy of losing to a lower-ranker.
 
^ it is not as easy as it sometimes looks even for the Greats. These new, younger players come out of nowhere and they have to work out how to beat them. Mens tennis is very competitive and in the end it is experience and self-belief: Djoko said as much after the match. Seems Sinner is already ranked 13.
Someone like Kyrgios may be ranked 40 but on his day he can beat anyone including himself :)

Certainly never looked easy to me when anyone came back from 2 sets down ;) !
