Alternatively, you can buy them ready mounted onto a Brown Dog adapter from here - he happily ships to the UK, and is a great guy to deal with. With the exchange rate as it is, I think that'll be your cheapest source - and no need to faff around doing the soldering either!

Thanks for the link Richard. Can you explain what PPA and Pimeta means I want to fit them to my cd3.5 which will I need?

That's right - they're headphone amp kits. It just so happens they use the AD8610 and AD8620, so he offers the ICs as well as the boards.

Use http://uk.digikey.com/ instead of the regular digikey site if you're in the UK. Then the prices are in sterling and the duty/fees on deliveries from the US are already paid (VAT is not though). Postage is 12 pounds and there's a 10 pound handling fee for orders below 75 pounds in value. Orders are shipped by UPS and delivery time is just 2-3 days if everything is in stock.

HTH!

...So for the opamps mentioned, I'd say that Tangent's site is a better bet.

www.mouser.com do reasonable UK delivery - IIRC it's $12.95 for any package under 4 lb. However, they don't stock this particular opamp, or the adapters.

the only other place which I've seen that in theory does ad8610s ready fitted on adapters is schuro at http://www.schuro.de/ but their customer 'service' is so tragically, lamentably, agonisingly pathetic its not true. Nice product line, shame they ignore any order you send them by any form of communication possible.
