Didn’t want to thread crap on the other post. I am taking advantage of the C2W salary sacrifice and given my age and poor physical condition thought an E bike would be the way to go initially. Looking at £1000-1600 but can only buy through Halfords, Tredz and cycle republic. The latter two will deliver but Tredz is a long way away to go and look and although I could go into that there London not sure I want to deal with a company so far away if and when there are any warranty issues.
Basically the leaves me with Halfords. I will probably go for a unisex model to encourage my wife to have a go and will be more inclined to a hybrid or mountain bike. Cycling will be a mixture of road and very gentle off road such as woodland trails. No intention of buying Lycra or doing serious off reading.
Any experience of the Halfords range would be appreciated. I have considered the GTECH which seems to have good support but not sure.
