  1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

The Bevis Frond, Little Eden on vinyl. Very surprised that Probe were open on a Bank Holiday Monday!

I wondered what the turntable is and discovered it seems to be a contentious issue. The internet does seem to broadly agree that it's a Para-Flux tonearm from the 1940s/50s.

It was only a quick trip to Sounds of the Universe, before a gig.....

SOTU again. Excellent record - powerful deep bass!

It seems to be Suicide Night on France Musique la Jazz. Lots of versions of Suicide Is Painless (the most recent in Hot Club style), Disco Suicide by Brand X, a cover of a Henry Cow track about suicide (I’ve forgotten the full title) by two violinists, Mose Allison’s Life Is Suicide and now Revolutionary Suicide by Steve Lacy. Their ‘themed’ nights paradoxically bring about a terrific eclectic mix.

Bought at the gig. I already had Low's albums, so they were the support.

Thought I'd picked up a nice copy of this, turns out it's a manky bootleg. Never mind, still sounds superb on Spotify.
