Must agree. I don't think I've ever deliberately listened to anything by them.

The earlier, 70's / pre fame, blue eyed soul stuff was full of pretty good moments- up to Bigger Than Both Of Us. I always bracket it with Boz Scaggs records like Silk Degrees. Good songs and great voices. She's Gone, Sara Smile, Rich Girl were great early 70s songs. After that, in the 80s, it all went too commercially and "snakily slick" for me although my then teenage sister played then non stop.

I'm giving Bigger than Both of Us an early morning stream while posting this.

There is a story somewhere that John Hall almost became singer for King Crimson at one point.. Fripp produced a solo record for him in the late 70s.

Not heard that one but then after having heard "Happy Hour", I never felt like chasing down his 80s material.
