1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

    Played as if the piano is out of tune. Lots of discords but strangely melodic.

    With the Beatles. They seem like a pretty decent band

    There are moments when the beauty of this record is almost too much. The last two tracks are close to perfection.

    I've been spending the day listening to my archive of recordings by Quintet Moderne, the group comprising Harri Sjöström, Jari Hongisto, Paul Lovens, Phil Wachsmann & Teppo Hauta-Aho. QM has taken the baton from Spontaneous Music Ensemble - indeed, when Sjöström talks about music, it could be John Stevens talking - but gone on to push the boundaries of improvised music further than most. I started with some recordings of their concerts in Munich and Weikersheim in 2017, and was gratified to find their first LP from 30 years previously on youtube;

    Sault - 9, on vinyl. Postscript, if it is 45rpm how about putting on the bloody label? Thought the first track sounded different.
