  1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

    Just back from walking the dog across cold, wet and windy fields.The track "Gimmie Shelter" was going on repeat through my brain - so glad it did :)

    Think I have an audio recording reel to reel to cassette of them on OGWT around that year. Liked it, so kept it.

    I cannot believe I actually saw him in concert in the mid-sixties. I was about 20, knew nothing, but was buying Jimmy Smith, Maynard Ferguson, Harry South. Dizzy, Monk and others were on, too.

    The first line-up did both a Peel session and an In Concert appearance on Radio 1. John Sloman came in as vocalist after the first album, and another Peel session, along with an appearance on Sight & Sound followed.

    It was around the time of them releasing their second album “firing on all six” that I saw them live at The Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone.
