The Flaming Ember - 'Westbound #9' on L.P./record.

White boys doing soul? An early, less funky AWB? Sounds like The Four Tops in places, but missing the groove.

Historically interesting, but this will not get another play.

Ted Heath and his music - 'Tom Hark' 10" shellac (1958)

not that close to this cover > The Piranhas, but still a foot-tapper

I am now on to Laurie Anderson - 'Big Science' on record/album, great record.

Gavin Bryars - The sinking of the titanic/Jesus blood never failed me yet.

Waited years to get hold of a decent vinyl copy.

It may not be as long a duration as the cd's, but boy oh boy does it sound better.

Booker Ervin, That's It. Great 1961 session. Amazing to think how young he died (39), how short his recording career was (only 8 or 9 years), and yet he's completely memorable on more great albums than you can shake a stick at, including eight stone cold classic Mingus records, and at least the same number of his own.

Gregory Porter, "Take Me to the Alley" Deluxe cd dvd...

Swell Maps - International Rescue (Alive Records)

Black vinyl copy (I've a clear vinyl as well as a spare because I need it).
