Just had the beth hart and Joe Bonamassa Don't Explain bought for me by the Mrs for my birthday. Oh no I quietly thought, an album of guitar ****ing and screaming. I couldn't have been more wrong. It's quite good as it has some proper songs on it written by and for the likes of Billie Holiday, Ray Charles, Etta James, Tom Waits, Melody Gardot, Bill Withers, Brook Benton and Aretha Franklin. All well performed and not overblown. I've listened to it twice and now I'm currently listening to Etta James.
