OTD - Protest - Empathie / Apathie is it.

Sort of brings this place and the discussions here to mind.

John Coltrane "Settin' The Pace".

The seventh Coltrane LP I've listened to today. Small 'Trane festival at my house today.

something new to me

Magnetic Man .... cd also titled 'Magnetic Man'

on spotify

edit:

Hmmm on second thoughts .... a bit too 'modern' for me

David Axelrod - Songs Of Innocence.
To be followed by a bit of Rotary Connection.

It's an overblown Sunday morning round our gaff.

A bunch of electronica, post rock, and y'know, stuff, as I play it out on purple-radio.co.uk.

So far:

John McEntire - Main Titles
September Collective - Some Of These Days
System - Red Click
Triosk - Reignite
Andrew Pekler - Soft Dissolve
Biosphere - In Triple Time
Jan Jelinek - Rock in The Video Age

rest of the show went like this:

To Rococo Rot - Bells
Burnt Friedman & Jaki Liebezeit - 128-5 (Mark Ernestus mix)
John McEntire - Quinn Goes To Town
Jan Jelinek - Silver Circle
Jan Jelinek Avec The Exposures - If's, And's And But's
John Tejada - A World So Wide
Tortoise - Swung From The Gutters
David Holmes - Jackson Johnson
David Holmes - Head Rush On Lafayette (Fridge remix)
Four Tet - Pockets

Verdi Overtures - Dorati / LSO
Mecury Living Presence Stereo SR90156

Another thrift store find - sounds pretty good!

Steve Reich - Music For 18 Musicians.

Just listening to the vinyl with the new cartridge/cirkus in place - really glad I didn't get rid of the LP when I got the CD boxset.

Segovia playing JS Bach (Disc 4 of the DG Segovia boxset)

Sublime!

I know some people think he imposed far too much of his own character on proceedings, but I really don't find that gets in the way at all.....

cheers
Matt
