What are you cooking tonight?

last night - a quick stir fry of noodles with chicken, mushrooms and peppers in Oyster and 5 spice sauce. Garnished with spring onion and red chilli.

with some hindsight the chilli was pretty pokey - had an interesting time getting my contact lenses out.....
 
Brisket to a Hairy Bikers recipe over at my parents. Nice and easy, and as I'd cooked my dad got to clear up. I don't ever do brisket for myself, for the obvious reason that it's too big and you'd have to freeze it or be eating it all week.

The start of the show is a small star anise; it makes a superb background flavour for the gravy ;) The veg has all been browned off too; skin left on the onions & garlic for a great colour

It'll be served with mash potatoes & steamed greens and the carrots will be fished out and served alongside too :D
