Web Photo Gallery Software?

Hi All

Hope you don't mind me picking your brains. Our company has decided to move photography in house and is looking for some cheap (free?) web based photo gallery software that will ideally allow:

basket style photo selection for high res image download (no ecommerce, users prepay)
pw protected galleries

Any pointers?

its not free but very quick and great for generating web galleries as well as attaching IPTC info etc

Thanks Derek, have looked at that. The functionality I'm struggling to achieve is the multi select download option, effectively a basket of downloads. Failing that, I'm finding it hard to find any software that has download functionality over right click, save as. What we want is low res online, with download of high res versions. I suppose we could look at doctoring templates to automate the download link photo by photo, but it would be nice to just have checkboxes to add to a download basket.
