Sexy beast. Waldorf make a proper synthesiser. My Microwave II is going no where. This new one looks interesting. I understand you always end up with the PPG wavetables in Waldorf synths but this one has other engines as well. It also incorporates elements of the iOS based synths Waldorf make.
From this demo it appears to sound good. Quality programming like Switched on or Snowflakes. The resonator engine (I think) sounded a bit too "evolving pad" for my liking.
It's a flagship model (think, no dream, Wave) and so it's over 3k. Waldorf kit is well made, the knobs won't wobble (I'm thinking of you King Korg). Exciting and I'm glad Waldorf are doing it.
