Wadia like DAC?

I'm a recent convert to computer-based audio, having previously run a Wadia 850 to some Sugden amps.

Had to sell a lot of it fairly suddenly but am now back up to a squeezebox going to a Bel Canto s300 integrated amp with a 24 bit DAC. Slowly clawing a decent system together!

One of the things I really liked about the Wadia was the bass extension - there was lots of it but it all still seemed balanced. Does anyone know how the newer DACs (M-dac, rega, bel canto dacs, etc etc) compare?

Can't help with your questions but heard a Wadia 121 DAC in a system of very high end amps and speakers and it sounded very good. Could this be for you?

Looks interesting, could be what I'm after. Just have to wait for it to come out on the s/h market now :)
