I'm not a massive fan of classical but by chance I happened upon a recording by Vilde Frang of the Nielsen / Tchaikovsky violin concertos on an EMI cd.

I found the cd in a machine I was testing (you can get some nice surprises that way) and I just carried on listening because it was so enjoyable. There you go...if you haven't heard her do try her out.

Her recording of Prokofiev's 1st concerto is wonderful. Coupled with a very good Sibelius too.
Really wish she'd record Prokofiev's 2nd!
