Video component cables OK for audio only?

I have green/blue/red good quality video component cable I bought recently.
A change of plan means I now have these freed up.

They look to me the same as good rca/phono interconnects. Presumably they are all similar inside? Can I usefully incorporate them into my audio system, thus replacing a cheap set?

Been using some IXOS component cables for ages (they were cheap as owt because of HDMI).

Well made and they'll last forever, or as long as I will.

Sound comes out of my stuff.

And you get an automatic spare!!
