Viable, gapless alternative to Google CCA

Wiim Mini supports Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Apple AirPlay 2 and UPnP. Easy to use app, recent update now incorporates gapless playback. I'm quite impressed.

Have you got one ? I can't figure out if it also a UPnP device as well ? Or if it will work with Windows. It surely can't be an Apple only device ( or can it ?)

Yes, it supports UPNP, not tried it with Windows yet but it does show up on the network with Windows so I'd imagine it will work. Certainly works with a Chromebook and Alexa. Manufacturers website

Good find! If this device could be added to speaker groups within the Google Home app/ecosystem it would be a perfect alternative to the CCA. Does anyone know if this is possible?

No sure......it is capable of multi room audio and it's Alexa/Siri compatible.

Does this stream from phone etc or like the CCA stream from router using the phone etc as the remote controller?
