Velcro for SBL grills

The velcro on my SBLs fell off, finally. I tried different sorts of Velcro, including heavy duty and none were the same or worked properly in gripping the covers. Velcro UK were very helpful and after sending a photo of the original stuff told me that the correct, double-hook Velcro is MVA8. It is 25mm wide so needs cutting in half, but that looks like what Naim do as well. Velcro kindly sent a sample and it is the exact same stuff that Naim use.

Hi Simeon,

My SBL's have had missing bits of Velcro since I got them.

you don't say whether your sample is sufficient to sort your speakers out, but I would be interested in sharing costs like a mini group buy, (others may also be interested) as 5m or 10m may be not much more expensive than 1m. It would also be a lot less wasteful.

Graham, sorry but I had enough to do both speakers but only a little left over. Not enough for one speaker, let alone two. Good luck if you are able to get a GB going.
