Vegan Noodles point me in the direction

Got friends coming over one is vagan. Have no idea of vagan noodles. Can you point me in the right direction.

Vagan? Vegan?

Just serve them vegetables in a vegetable sauce, no dairy, and you'll be fine. Veggie noodles, indeed many noodles, are VERY likely to be vegan too.

Do you like it spicy? Mee goreng is delicious. Make it with tofu and veges. You can get vegan "oyster" sauce or substitute a little stock powder.

Vietnamese rice noodle salad is your friend.
Also summer rolls but leave out the prawns....add tofu grilled or shallow fries if you likey.
Exclude the fish sauce in dressings and steer clear of eggs on top and you are on a winner.

You can make noodles with almost any starch, peas, lentils and beans can work as well as wheat.

Just add water and season and you'll be ready to roll.

Personally i'd go wholemeal wheat with yolks and spinach but it can get a bit weak and harder to handle (and isn't vegan obvs)

In our house you either eat what's offered or starve, you know like your gran used to do, cuts down on fussy visitors - bonus :D

It felt that way in Australia in the 90s when asking for any vegetarian food. Usually the offer was a lettuce leaf, but a couple of times the reply was 'so you eat chicken then?'

One time someone cooked a meaty chilli for a bunch of folks and said to me, 'It's alright for you, I've taken most of the meat out'.

There are plenty of vegan noodle dishes on the net. Mostly oriental. If you want to be more European then normal pasta and a veg sauce, with maybe chickpeas to add substance. Meat can be on a side dish for the meaties if necessary. Starters are salad, olives, bread, houmous with meat, cheese or fish on the side of needed. Fruit salad dessert, cream on the side. Done.
