Usb C to usb B - Samsung S8 phone to Chord 2qute

Hi all,

Looking for a bit of advice here please.
I'd like to connect my Samsung S8 mobile to my Chord 2 qute dac so I can play tidal.
I understand it may be possible with the connection in the title.

However, I've read about this whole On The Go (OTG) cable stuff is this necessary, or will a blog standard connection work?

Anyone tried this sort of setup?

Sometimes there's an OTG in the box with the phone but people have reported problems with these. It seems that you need the 'correct' cable.

Thanks for confirming the whole OTG requirement guys, I'll try out the bog standard cable see if that works - I didn't remember having that, reminder appreciated gavreid!
