It appears that the angel of death is well on his way to taking himself out.

I didn't realise they had a category for 'General Hate' (the green circles) - non-specific general nutters who hate everyone. Lots of them seem to be churches.

We are getting to the time to re-assess whether formal religion, and it's public projection, is a force for good or bad in society.
Or send a new Messiah relevant for everyone quick please.

He's doing another rally today. I'm sure he'll be doing all his greatest hits (he's got quite a limited repertoire) and I'm sure 'dishonest media' will go down especially well with the crowd.

If Jesus turned up today the Republican Party would have him cable-tied to the floor in an orange jump-suit somewhere dark and off-radar in an instant! All that anti-capitalist, pacifist and wealth-redistribution stuff? Terrorist!

Comment heard at my hairdressers today:
Imagine how embarrassing it would be if aliens landed in America and said 'take me to your leader'.

Can you say 'heart-attack bait?'

Looks to me like he's going bad as fast as a ripe avacado. I hate to say it, this is bad, but in his case I've got my fingers crossed.

The whole administration appears to be hell bent on ignoring the democratic ideals of the past two centuries..

that is the default positin of the united states. there have been very brief democratic-like moments over the past 200 years, but nothing close to a democracy, unless you just mean being allowed to vote every once in a while.

i highly recommend sheldon wolin;s book that explains all of this very clearly:

available for free, as well, in pdf format:

also, if you put atheist-hater, socialist-hater, climate-scientist-hater and russia-hater circles on the map, it would be totally filled up.

Did anyone else listen to Republicans Overeas Barbie being interviewed on R4 news the other day? When confronted with Trump's mendacity she simply burped platitudes - it's an emotional time right now, the President is best when talking directly to the people the press are mixing fact with entertainment, I've been condemned for wearing a Trump sticker. It was as if it came from the mouth of Kellyanne Conway- right down to the phraseology

"The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!"

i understand that a large part of trump's opinion is to do with reports saying "not nice" things about him, but he actually is correct in his assessment. it has been many decades now that these corporate organizations have merely echoed establishment positions and very rarely challenged anything -- individual-level scandals are always of interest, but no profound analysis of systemic flaws. there was a time when people like howrd zinn, noam chomsky and ralph nader appeared on news/interview shows. those time are long gone. now we get fascist think-tank people.

trump should be watching RT (yes, queue the jokes) and, when he learns to read, getting a subscription to counterpunch and zmag.

Haward came up a Navy Seal. I expect he's really a duty-honor-country guy. The sort of fellow who'd feel obligated to serve when the President called, whether he really wanted to or not.

I think it went like this. He was on-the-fence about taking the job. Someone thought they could take advantage of the feeling of obligation I mentioned by announcing he had the job before he'd said yes. With just about any other president, that would probably have worked.

With Trump it blew up in their faces.

The alternatives are hilarious. Is it Petraeus who is the tough CIA man who resisted possibly nothing and gave out all the secrets he could to the first "honey" who flattered him enough to write his biography. The Russians would turn him inside out in minutes. People at that level thinking with their c@cks, it's pathetic.

He cleans up well. Get him a bath, a hot meal and a shave and out of all that urban hunter clothing and into corporate rapist blue and gray and he will outlive Trump. Trump OTOH is not a well man at all.

for those who listen to the Met opera broadcasts, they have just announced (on the radio) at intermission that trump plans to cut support for the arts: including PBS and the national endowment for the arts. i though he had been briefed on the nation's "high flying assets". what a shame. i know it sound s funny, but i am a firm believer that if everyone become intimately acquainted with wagner's ring or [insert your masterpiece of choice], we would have a much better society.

http://www.truth-out.org/news/item/...attack-on-the-national-endowment-for-the-arts

Donald Trump has vowed to cut the federal budget by $10.5 trillion over 10 years, eliminating approximately all of the federal government's discretionary spending. One of the few specifics of his proposal involves eliminating the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), along with The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the privatization of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

The NEA budget of $148 million accounts for only 0.003 percent of the federal budget, a slice of the pie chart so small, it only reads as a thin line, not even a slice.

Even cutting all three programs would only get the Trump administration to 0.074 percent of the way to the annual amount that it would take to achieve their ultimate goal of $10.5 trillion over 10 years.

Ironically, reports have emerged that the cost of providing security for President Trump's residence in New York City, where his wife and son will reside until the end of the school year, is projected to cost taxpayers $1 million a day. That is roughly twice the annual budget of the NEA.
