Truly great albums with no duff moments

Pieces of a Man - Gil Scott Heron.

BTW, the new Flying Dutchman Masters Box is a delight.

Hadn't seen that one, I've just ordered it as last time I looked that period of GSH was unavailable other than on dodgy pirate vinyl (so I resorted to finding an unautherised backup copy on teh internets as it's bloody essential stuff!). It's a shame they've buggered the track sequencing up on the box, but it will be great to have the material and the extras. Pieces Of A Man is a simply amazing album, looks like that's out again on CD too (link). Hope they are all legit!

I was in HMV in Oxford St when I was in the smoke this week and a guy was asking which of the great man's works he should go for. This was the one I plumper for but as they didn't have it he picked up another of the later releases that they did have. I got a couple of live recording CDs that they had of the great John Lee.
