Here for sale is Graham Tricker’s personal Tron Seven Dual Mono Phono Stage in GT spec which means you have a completely separate phono stage amplifier for each channel. The improvement in soundstage width and depth as well as image placement has to be heard to be believed. It has been built to the highest standard and is fully silver wired and is probably the best phono stage money can buy. Currently it is in MM configuration and is best used with an SUT (Step-Up Transformer), but it can easily be converted to MC if requested. As a state of the art phono stage it really doesn’t get much better than this. This unit has been very rarely used. I would estimate its had about 100 hours of use and is in like new condition.

The two Seven Dual Mono MC Phono stages currently have 2 switchable inputs. Each switchable input has 2 MC gain settings, so you have 68db and 74dB of gain to cover 95% of all MC cartridges available today. The output stage is a low impedance high current design, which enables it to be used with any preamplifier whether transistor or valve. Also a passive preamp or TVC can be used with this design. Additional partitioning has been employed internally to help reduce any magnetic and electrical fields for the critical aspects of the circuit ensuring an extremely low noise design.

Specification:
Inputs: 2 x RCA Phono input (L & R separate amplifiers).
Outputs: 2 x RCA Main output (L & R separate amplifiers).

Valve Complement: 1 × 12AX7 (low noise), 1 × 12AU7 per chassis.
Frequency Response: 5Hz–37.5kHz ± 3dB. RIAA within ± 0.5dB
Phono Gain: Low 68dB & High 74dB switchable MC gain.
Equalisation: RIAA only.
Output Impedance: <600 Ohms
