Tranquil Pc - what do you think?

Hi!

Have actually just ordered the NUC fanless H-series. Does anyone else have such a device in its computeraudiosetup or just as a silent PC at home?

I choose it because its fanless and nice looking apart from other boxes. It will have a m-sata SDD with 480 gb. Maybe too small for many of you but enough for me. I´ve got around 700cds in flac so far.

Will report later when all is running.

Hej,

Looks really nice. There's also the possibility to add an external USB disk later if needed.

How are you going to connect it - WiFi or Ethernet and which OS did you choose?

When you're up and running I recommend this free software to verify it's Audio capabilities, use it myself and it has helped me pinpoint problems in my OrigenAE mediaPC.

Hej Lars!

I will use it as a digital audio-transport mostly. Connected to a USB/spdif converter and then into a DAC. I´m not sure what your suggested program can do but thanks anyway.

It will have wifi but the music is stored locally on the SSD drive. Windows 8.1 is the OS. I already use Jriver MC on another computer where I have done all the ripping and storage so far. Jriver will be installed on the new computer along with a wireless keyboard connected to a TV and thats it.
