What a shame. Toots Hibbert was a fantastic singer and songwriter. His 1968 tune Do The Reggay is thought to be the root of the term reggae. His latest album, Got To Be Tough, has just been released. The Guardian have a good assessment of his life. https://www.theguardian.com

It was Toots that hooked me on reggae. I’ve never got loose and don’t want to...

I don’t know what it is but Toots and the Maytals always make me smile, no matter how I’m feeling when I start to play them.

Toots has been and remains a mainstay on the soundtrack of my life. RIP Toots and thank you...
