Tom Evans Microgroove+ vs Teddy Pardo PHN1

Hello all,
actually I am switching from Naim gear to Teddy Pardo.
The PR1+MB100 sounds more naturell to my ears, as Naim NAC252+Supercap2+NAP200.
Now I am looking at my Phono Pre. Actually I am using Tom Evans Microgoove+
with Rega P8 and Apheta2.
What do you think? Will the Teddy be a good upgrade to the Tom Evans or not?

I always liked my TE Microgroove+, but if you feel the need to match up your gear don't TP do a money back deal so you can compare the two.

Only first test between Teddy and the Microgoove plus.
It seems that the Microgroove plus plays brighter and a bit more dynamic.
In the moment I only have the plugs from the first owner.
The 100 Ohms fits, from specifications side, good with my Apheta2.
Other specs are unknown. The Microgoove has 560 Ohms and 0,4mV.
I already ordered new plus with 100 Ohms, 0,35mV and 0,001uF.
Does somebody have experience with the Teddy Pre? Are other combinations
better, as the one described from Rega?

I ordered a 2nd pair of plugs with 560Ohms, 0,35mV and 0,01uF.
Near the same data‘s as for the Microgroove plus.
Info from German distributor of Tom Evans was, that this setup
will be more dynamic and brighter in sound.
We will see how this will tune up the Teddy.

I got the first set of plugs today.
First test was very impressive.
3D stage was amazing. Clear positions for every voice and instrument.
Then I switched back to the Microgroove plus.
The 3D stage was not so clear defined as with Teddy.
But the „Live“ effect was much better. I heard a harmonica so clear.
Wow.
Now I will wait for the 2nd set of plugs.

Now the 2nd set of plugs are in use.
The sound is more bright, voices are more clear,
but it sounds not more balanced.
Soundstage is also not more so clear defined,
as with the recommended settings.
I sent my Microgroove+ for upgrade to
MK2 to Tom. My final decision is delayed,
after I got the Microgroove+ back from Service,
and I came to a result that suits me.

It seems i more like the way the Microgroove+ plays.
I updated the Microgroove+ to MK2.
Wow, things I missed and found with the Teddy,
are possible now with the Microgroove.
Soundstage increased a lot. Much more as with Teddys.
It seems that I have the best of two worlds.
Amazing soundstage and a sound without any sharpness.
