He managed to an obit in both the Guardian and the Telegraph - which AFAIK does not often happen. Both must be hard reading for remaining loved ones.
 
Thing that concerns me most about all this is scaleability, when we have billions to feed. A few hundred hippies munching exotic bread are irrelevant, even if the bread is wonderful.

Being concerned about the quality of one's bread is for sure not just a first world problem but the definitive middle class problem. Promising people access to your sourdough starter has become the new recommending a good mortgage agent in North London.
