The joy of vinyl

"The two things that really drew me to vinyl were the expense and the inconvenience.”

I'm especially impressed with the kit layout there, that valve amp carefully placed for you to burn your arm on the main power valves as you try to cue your Koetsu Unobtanium Red cartridge onto your previously mint, original pressing Beatles White Album......

Does this mean you'll be plugging in your Paradise and letting us know how it sounds?

Seriously where can you get units with record storage underneath and shelves on top for kit like that ???

I want one !

Hang on...aren't those cds on the right...and isn't that a flatscreen monitor in the middle.
You aren't fooling anyone.

Birch ply v MDF? Stacking system built in against slippery MDF? Can't fall out of the back as standard?

Mine are totally unfinished and untouched since they were made 25 years ago.

I built a load of long ones out of thick block board in 1978.
Painted them matt black.
They weigh a tone empty and are still going strong round a friends home in London.
I have been using Ikea racks for years now and think they are great.
They still offer the best VFM record storage options out there imo.

I just bagged a mint Planar 2/RB250 with A& R cartridge working perfectly and sounding peachy, for £60. Utter bargain. Wots not to like?

really I just wanted to crow about the price I paid for it....
