The Future Of The Democratic Party.

Vuk,

i'm still waiting for you to explain why you prefer trump over him or warren, regardless of your predictions.

I thought it was obvious. John is extremely conservative.

Joe

Vuk,

Best to ask John, but, yeah, likely in favour of tax cuts for the impoverished 1 percenters.

Joe

I wonder, given all we've heard about the dreadful healthcare situation in the US on the 'living in the US' thread, if Americans posting here, and/or those who've lived in the US will or would (if they were living in the US) vote for Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary?

I ask as to my knowledge he's the only contender with a strong chance who fully advocates for a single-payer, medicare for all healthcare system similar to that enjoyed by most of the developed world.

I'll cast a ballot for Bernie. I don't think anyone else is worth the effort.

A big part of my bad attitude is most polls showing nearly half the electorate still support Trump. I read that shit and don't want to leave the house.

Max,

I ask as to my knowledge he's the only contender with a strong chance who fully advocates for a single-payer, medicare for all healthcare system similar to that enjoyed by most of the developed world.

I dunno, that sounds precariously close to socialism, which is only a stone's throw from communism.

Joe

Max,

I dunno, that sounds precariously close to socialism, which is only a stone's throw from communism.

Joe
Joe, they'll get past the corporate brainwashing and embrace *it at some point. The only question is how many more people must be made bankrupt and/or die first.

*Medicare for all, not socialism.

Max,

You'd think that, but tiny strides by one administration are completely undone by the next.

^ from article (american media and corporations attack america's democracy):

Media affection for Biden is matched by the biases of corporate media that — for many years — have routinely spun coverage of Sanders in negative ways, amplifying the messages from people at the helm of huge corporations. Recent months have seen no letup of anti-Bernie salvos, with Sanders as a kind of “heat shield” for Warren, catching the vast majority of the left-baiting attacks that would otherwise be aimed at her. Yet, as Warren’s campaign gains momentum, she is becoming more of a prime target for wealthy sectors and their media echo chambers.

A CNBC article summarized on-air comments from network star Jim Cramer: “The financial community is really worried about the possibility of Sen. Elizabeth Warren becoming president.” A theme among corporate executives, he said, is that “she’s got to be stopped.”

If you believe the single peeling of the onion, the predetermined order of democrat potus ascendency is chosen and enforced by the DNC - e.g. Obama before Hillary, Hillary before Bernie, and now Biden before Bernie, as Bernie will apparently never hit the right notes with Perez (Obama lackey).

Whether the DNC is truly the kingmaker before a cycle ever starts or not, the liberal media fellates the DNC so hard they're either complicit or just as much a determining factor. The entire charade has become so kitschy and uninspired it's hard for me to stomach ... and I don't even have cable tv!

Fox and Friends, the mouthpiece of the DNC. Sean Hannity, unshakable Bernie supporter. Rush Limbaugh, in Joe Biden’s pocket. Laura Ingraham, Elizabeth Warren’s unfailing advocate.

It’s so clear in hindsight.
