The back panel seems to have some input sockets, labelled PC. I wonder if this isn't first and foremost just a dealer display thingumabob, a counter or shelf-top unit to give brand visibility, maybe able to flash on and off or do other stuff when connected to a PC, and McIntosh have cottoned on to the idea that there might be a market for it with their loyal customer base?
