"The British Pop Archive is a national collection dedicated to the preservation and research of popular culture.

It is the first specifically designated, large-scale popular culture archive in the UK. The collection's launch will be supported with a major exhibition at the Rylands, featuring iconic items from the Manchester pop culture scene.

At present there are ten archives that comprise the BPA:
Ian Curtis
Rob Gretton
Andy Spinoza
Kevin Cummins
Bob Dickinson
Corporate archive of Granada television
Jon Savage's Situationist materials
Terence Pepper collection
CP Lee archive
Stephen Kelly and Judith Jones archive

The collection will launch on 19 May 2022 with an exhibition featuring highlights from the collection."
