The best Live Album

Eva Cassidy - Live at Blues Alley. Make you think you really are there.
Ben Webster - At The Renaissance. As above.
Rolling Stones - Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out. What rock is all about.

are we talking about quality of the recording or best music

The above all qualifies on booth acounts.

I have a live with Spooky Tooth that must have the worst sound ever. Pity, the music seems very good.

Free Live

Neil Young Massey Hall

Allman Brothers At Fillmore East

Bowie Stage & David Live

Thin Lizzy Live & Dangerous (my 1st gig)

The Pirates Live in Japan
I was going to vote for side one of the first album in '79 or there abouts

Live & Dangerous - Thin Lizzy
Unleashed In The East - Judas Priest
All The Worlds A Stage - Rush

Even if they were not 'totally' live.....

The Ramones - It's Alive

Has everything. Songs of love, regret, glue and enough Gabbba Gabba Hey to keep you going until lunchtime.

Every other live album is just fluff.
