I know many including myself have dismissed Grosjean as a bit of a loose cannon in the past, but the last couple of paragraphs of that article remind me how dangerous the sport is and the superb mentality of those who compete in it. Hats off to him and hope he continues to recover well.

I would imagine they were keen to only give him a 1 year contract due to the budget caps coming in year as the size of his salary may not be economically viable at that point

More dumbing down of the pinnacle of motorsport.

Maybe do away with Friday practise all together? Turn up Saturday - 1 hour practise, then straight into qualifying. Race on Sunday. That would help bring the costs down that they're so determined to do.
