made a start on the plinth for my sp10 yesterday, out with my veneer press to laminate the 25mm panzerholz to the 38mm chipboard, yes i know controversial and im sure the arm chair experts will be crapping their pants but if its good enough for the yamaha gt2000 then im sure it will be fine here.

west expoxy system was use to bond the panzer to the chipboard, normal adhesives are out due to the resin content of the panzerholz.

im undecided on the final thickness at the moment,i need to draw it to scale and see .

Oh yes , I do like your press , No messing with that .
And a Workmate that has seen lots of love :D

Do you have microballoons in that epoxy?
ive used a filer to thicken the epoxy so it can be used as an adhesive,i cant remember what type of filler it is though as i got it when i did my sony plinth ages ago,its ridiculously fine though, not far of being smoke if you know what i mean.

Nicely done!
Did you cut the panzerholz with a jigsaw or a router?
I ask because I have to cut a hole for my Thorens 135 in a panzerholz top plate.

My cut-out is curved like the Thorens TD 124 cutout, so a bit more challenging. I will need to cut a guide.
