1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

I would but the longer bolt was too long and would potentially foul the LP when in use.

If the cartridge has a threaded body (which in my opinion they all should), there's no choice but to put the bolt in from the top.

I put them in from the top whether it's threaded or not!
  4. Me too, although Mrs BB took it off me last time, she said it looked like I was diffusing a bomb.

    Cheers BB

A 2m Atlas Hyper Integra tonearm interconnect arrived this morning. Two hours of faffing later and I now have, for the first time, two turntables connected and working. The Sony, after many years on the right side of the sideboard, has migrated left. The Sony is connected to the Vida and the Technics connects to the MC stage of the Luxman.

    Sony TTS-8000 / SME V-12 / Phasemation PP-500
    Aurorasound Vida
    Luxman LX-380
    Technics SP-10 Mk2 / SME 3012 / Kiseki Purpleheart NOS
Tannoy Monitor Gold 15s in Lockwood cabs with RFC external crossovers

Wonderful! (though I do feel for the poor Technics banished to the naughty corner..)

The records are on a single bay of Ladderax consisting of a record cabinet and two shelves. Ladderax comes up fairly frequently on ebay and there are a couple of specialist dealers too.

Please don't feel sorry for the Technics. It got an arm recently and has been promoted from a drawer under the bed. :)

It's so rare to be able to home demo expensive cartridges. Hugo is a proper gent.

Keep us posted on how you like the Phasemation. I enjoyed the PP-300 so much I bought a PP-500. :)

The speakers are lovely, but the wallpaper is STUNNING. Where is it from, if I can ask?!
