Ace room, is that a PRS single cut I see and a Tube Screamer?

Yes, lots of Dead, a few PRS in the house (I'm an employee) and a tube screamer.

The two speaker thing is temporary because I can't decide which to keep. I've been hooking up the Viennas when I want to crank it or listen to anything where bass is important (rock, metal, electronica)....the LS50's for everything else.

The room doesn't sound very good, to be honest. Suspended wood floors, vaulted ceiling, windows lining every wall. It's definitely in need of dampening. My basement is currently being renovated, so slab floor, carpet, less windows (and a fireplace, which I, excited about). I'm hoping it sounds better down there. The gear will live on a Lovan stand I have tucked away and the turntable will be wall mounted. Hopefully replacing the P3 with a RP8 at some point.

Thanks for the comments! Really interesting to hear opinions/thoughts as this is an isolated hobby for me.

maybe the wrong thread to ask, but: can you still find 301's, get them restored and plinth'd? or are most now purchased as turnkey tables?

Great room. Looks very comfortable to live in. If you have too many reflections, get a speaker with a waveguide/horn for the tweeter.

What is the advantage? I had some Heresy's for a bit. They were great on some stuff but terrible on most.

Yes.Few companies still restore them,and plinths are easy to get hold of.

With them all vertical, there's a 'right' number, where they're easy to get out, but don't disrupt the overall balance and let the whole stack lean.

i'll give it a shot. records are arranged alphabetically. some are more full than others as I'm trying not to split up letters of the alphabet between two cubes, but that's not a big deal
