What is it?

Regards

Richard

Looks to me like a Post-postmodern take on Art Deco, I think, with angular references to o'keefe in opposition to the stained glass traditionalists informed by Preraphaealite styles. The bowls seem very informed by Art Deco with slight references to some of the less well known Nordic glass bowl makers.

The turntable and grey box clutter an otherwise beautiful image.

I am worse than any wife, I have neuroses that stand on the shoulders of OCD giants.

I like the styling of that room, beautiful elegance and direction of light.mlovely wood cabinetry and your complete absence of dust is something I totally aspire to.

Aaaah...bless its little heart:

OMG Gromit's, that's pure HiFi porn! What a beautiful pic of the classic CB Nait 2. :) (one of my alltime favorite pieces of HiFi)

I recently swapped my old Target stands for a (demo) pair of partington Dreadnought stands.
Also, after a 3 days home audition I bought myself a (demo) Cambridge Audio Stream Magic 6.

Very nice Hoops. Do the bass traps make a lot of difference there?

I know you are after a new integrated amp as well. However, I would recommend saving up for a pair of Michell Alecto's if you can, would be nice 'cosmetically' with the Gyro and they work well with ATC's.

I know someone with a near NOS Michell pre-amp they are looking to sell as well, so it would all make a neat setup for you.

Yeah I find they really help in my room.

I have gone for a Bryston B60 for the moment, on the idea that if I ever need more power I already have an excellent Pre in the B60.
But yes, Alectos would be perfect

+1

Pray tell!

PS - you've tempted me back to the Naim fold - I've got a Nait XS arriving on Monday :D

Resistance is obviously futile!! :D

Will be very inerested to get your findings on the XS as one was on my radar before getting my present Naim rig. Only downer for me was its lack of phonostage (although easily rectified).

I found the XS to be a damn fine amp, but I recently found selling one for a friend really hard work. They are a bargain at the moment, probably due to a revised version just being released.

Yup - it was only a matter of time. I'm famously weak willed when it comes to such things! Will make sure I relay my findings. I'll be using the amp as a SS back up in case my Audion is ever out of action.

Halvis - must admit I was suprised your XS hung around for as long as it did. At the price you were letting it go for I'd have thought it would have been snapped up.

It was a nightmare, even when I sold it, the courier completely lost it several times, it took over 2 weeks to get there. It just didn't want to leave I guess.

Enjoy it, its quite an enjoyable listen. It took me a while to get used to it though.
