Looks like a fossilized slug.

I had to watch the trailer three times last night just to believe what I was seeing. I popped a button when Seven of Nine appeared. No way can that be as bad as Discovery, no flipping way.

So, umm. Star Trek Lower Decks an official cartoon series hit the various places you can fill your special needs feed today

Is that it now? Is all animation character design going to be based on Rick & Morty & Family Guy from now on? Not caught up on Picard yet. I mean there was a Short Trek Ephraim & Dot I watched with a cute little Tardigrade and a maintenance robot Which was good... Certainly about my level.

The shorts are okay. I haven't seen "Lower Decks" yet. The art design seems very "millennial" to me. At least it doesn't look like anime.

liking the Kzin Doctor T’Ana nice mix of old doctor McCoy and M*A*S*H’s Hawkeye in a curmudgeonly scrappy old cat. It has a Final Space vibe more than a Rick & Morty vibe.

Yeah, the doctor on the right is Kzinti, the sad slouchy cat species from the original cartoon.

And from Larry Niven's "Known Space" series before that.

That's right, Trek borrowed an alien from another scifi universe. But Niven wrote for the cartoon series so I guess it's authorized.

Trekkie fishies / fishie Trekkies,

Probably of interest to about three fishies besides me, but in case we have some closest Trekkies amongst us...

Joe

Biggest load of mince i've seen in a long time { Star Trek: Discovery} , all this SJW/Wokeness does not belong in the Star Trek Universe...
