Get the Apple adapter at £9 which contains an amp and dac(really!) and they work fine.. I use one occasionally with 660’s and iPhone 13

can confirm the apple adapter is remarkably good at driving decent headphones.... drives my 600 ohm ATH-911s to acceptable levels, which very few prtable devices can do.

Thanks for the heads up regards the Apple adaptor, I have a couple of these as supplied with iPhones so will dig one out and have a play.

I am assuming that If I purchased a shorter cable with a 3.5mm Jack using this adaptor would still be beneficial?
