Sonos connection by laptop

Is it possible to play music through my sonos system from my laptop which is playing free spotify music.

Not with the Mac version of the Spotify software but it is with the iPhone/iPad Spotify using the "AirPlay" feature -- via an Airport Express' Line out plugged into Line In on the Sonos player. You just need one AirPort Wifi adaptor and then you can go multi-room via Spotify's room multi room facility.

The premium version streams Spotify wirelessly within the Sonos remote software (Mac/Win/iPad/iPhone/Android/Sonos Remote) though. Worth the £10 a month just to lose those horrific adverts.

I am using windows 7 on an HP laptop is this possible?

Not that I know of with free. With Spotify premium then you can. That's partly what are paying for (as well as no ads, higher bitrate etc) otherwise you need to jack in with a Wire and do it old skool.
