If you can get over the slow performance, this thing takes amazing pictures with really natural, standout colours. It reminds me of an Audio research SP10 - some things just amazing like landscapes, crap at (say) sports. The late Michael Reichmann of Luminous Landscape used to compare the output of the Merrill range with medium format backs of his day.

I believe I have the box in the attic but haven't been up there to look.

Assuming it is in excellent condition then if you confirm you have box, manual, software cd’s I’ll buy this. Are there any extra batteries?

Apologies to all that have shown an interest; I have scoured my house and can't find the box and manual for it . In my defence I live in a 9-bed Victorian house we are renovating and it we keep rediscovering stuff we carefully packed away and forgot about! I have the camera, viewfinder, charger and battery. Software and manual should be downloadable from Sigma.
