Soft recovery diodes

I have looked FARNELL site for Soft/FAST recovery Diodes, (for NAP 140 upgrade)

There are a loot of diodes in the 600V 15A range for the nap 140/180,
(for example 930933 Farnell-MUR1560)

Does anyone has some experience which of them will suit best ?


Another thing: Some 100v Reserve Caps have ripple current higher
then the common 63v in the NAP series (for example Kendeil K01),
does anyone knows if incresing the voltage will have some benefit ?

Diodes - anything around the 6A - 100V range will be about right and will be smaller than the 15A devices. Axial leaded diodes may be easier to fit in the 140

Caps - generally the higher voltage ratings have slightly lower ESR measurements and will be fine, just don't come down in voltage that's all.
