Small Bites

There are just a very few genre (or however they fit into someone's classification) that totally grab me for 10-15-20 minutes at a stretch, but no more.
With me, this is no more so than with most solo guitar music, and most especially acoustic guitar. Beyond that time, my brain demands vocals and/or accompaniment.
Probably my best example is Mike Dawes - I am transfixed for that 10-20 minutes and then my mind needs more.

Anyone feel the same about any music - 10-15-20 minutes of bliss and then........?

Interesting, I spent one day last week in the studio listening to Spanish guitar music after a recommendation in the Tiny Desk thread; peaceful, calming, yes, but as Vinny suggests ultimately devoid of real emotion and substance.
Before I could return home I needed a double shot of Mary Gauthier to set the world to rights.

For me, it's flutes in jazz - after 10 minutes I need some saxophone - even with Eric Dolphy

Even on this - which is one of my 5 favourite pieces of music
