Shoebox Naits

Any idea what JV would have used for the Nait 1 development? I dunno if they'd fallen out with Linn at that point or not.
 
Well into the 1990s the only source at Naim was the LP12/Karma - I forget which arm on the early ones but of course later ones had the ARO. IIRC early Naim electronics were tested into Kans or Isobariks. The SBLs were standard from the mid 80s.

The Naits, having only a MM stage were tested with the same LP12/SBL combo as before, but with a K9 cartridge, I believe.
 
I loved the Nait 1 I picked up in Ireland (deal done in a pub!) for €50 - after testing it for a few days I sold it on eBay for €700 odd to Taiwan :) At the time I ran a Nac62 with DIY PSU and an ML No. 29...but driving SF Concertinos speakers, which need a bit of current, so not a good comparison...but I loved that Nait for the profit brought me :)
